From October 17, 2026 to January 3, 2027, the Sala Consiliare Teodoro Bubbio in Alba hosts the exhibition 'Barnaba da Modena ad Alba. La Madonna Bergui: a precious gift for the city'. At the heart of the exhibition is the 14th-century panel 'Madonna che allatta il Bambino' (1380), a work by Barnaba da Modena recently donated to the Municipality of Alba, which becomes the starting point for a journey into 14th-century painting and the cultural relations between Alba, Liguria, Lombardy and Europe. Alongside the painting, the exhibition is enriched by other works by Macrino d'Alba and Mattia Preti. The inauguration takes place on Saturday, October 17 at 10:30 AM at Palazzo Banca d'Alba, while the exhibition is open to the public with free admission on weekends. The exhibition is organized by the Municipality of Alba.
