August 2026 in Piedmont offers a packed calendar of festivals and enogastronomic events, from the wine villages of Langhe to the Ossola valleys. Here is a guide to the main appointments.
Beginning of the month: from July 31 to early August
It starts already on July 31 with the Sagra Paesana a Oira in the hamlet of Crevoladossola (VB), organized by the Musica di Oira. Until August 2, food stalls and convivial moments: Saturday 1 features a religious torchlight procession through the village streets. On the same dates, in Intragna (VB) the Circolo Fratellanza Intragnese sets up the Manifestazione campestre del Circolo Fratellanza Intragnese in the area in front of the town hall.
From August 1 to 3, the center of Barbaresco (CN) comes alive with Barbaresco in Festa. Piazza del Municipio and Via Torino host stalls of wines and local products, live music, and artisan markets, in a three-day event dedicated to the excellence of the territory.
Also on August 1, in Romentino (NO) the Pro Loco organizes the traditional Cena per la Festa della Madonnina in Via dello Scurolo and Via Donati, with outdoor tables.
The weekend of August 7-8 features several events. In Moncalvo (AT) returns Svicolliamo, now in its third edition: Friday 7 is dedicated to Gin & Street Food, Saturday 8 focuses on typical products from local merchants, with music and tastings in various squares of the center. In Pragelato (TO), in Piazza Pragelatesi nel Mondo, the Nuova Pro Loco offers Beer & Food 2026 from August 7 to 9. In Roburent (CN), the Pro Loco brings its Festa della Birra to Cascina Carletto on August 7 and 8, with stalls and music. Finally, in Borgosesia (VC) the Festa della Birra Foresto starts on August 8 and continues until the 11th, in the Foresto hamlet, with a refreshment area.
The peak of Ferragosto
From August 8 to 11, the Foresto hamlet of Borgosesia celebrates with its Beer Festival. On August 9, in Massello (TO), in the Balziglia hamlet, the day dedicated to Gofri, the typical Waldensian waffles, takes place.
From August 12 to 16, two major events. In Entracque (CN), in Piazza del Mercato, the second edition of Entracque Food Village brings street food, craft beer, and a different tribute band every evening (from Vasco Rossi to 883, from Gigi D'Agostino to classic '70s-'80s-'90s), with a special market on August 15 in via Angelo Barale. In Stroppiana (VC), the Pro Loco APS organizes the 39th Sagra dal Lapagiun in Piazza Libertà. The gastronomic program is rich: Wednesday 12 mixed boiled meats with sauces, Thursday 13 pork shank with fries, Friday 14 battered cod with onion sauce and polenta, Saturday 15 beef in Rovato oil with polenta, and Sunday 16 porchetta with fries. Live music every evening.
On August 13, in Sandigliano (BI), the Associazione Amici del Cinema organizes the Cena in Bianco in the area in front of the municipal multipurpose center in via Edio Maroino: an outdoor dinner where all participants are invited to dress in white.
Towards the end of August
From August 21 to 23, in Preglia di Crevoladossola (VB), the Gruppo Alpini di Preglia sets up the Sagra della Lumaca in the Oasi Area. The menu offers snails in many variations: Ossola-style with polenta, Bourgogne-style, Breton-style, fried, as well as grilled meats and first courses. Also from August 21 to 23, in Cannobio (VB), the Associazione I Pedù di Traffiume organizes the Manifestazione dell'Associazione I Pedù in the Reseghe parking lot of Via Sotto i Chiosi, with stalls and activities.
Closing the month, on August 30, the sixth edition of the Festa del Pane in Niella Tanaro (CN). Food stalls with bread and typical local products, artisan and second-hand markets, and entertainment to celebrate the culture of bread.
