La promessa
Teatrino Civico, Piazza Generale Carlo Alberto dalla Chiesa, Chivasso
Organised by Comune di Chivasso
On Saturday 31 October 2026, at 10:30, journalist Marianna Aprile presents her book "La promessa. Dal suffragio femminile alla prima donna a Palazzo Chigi, storia di una rivoluzione incompleta", published by Rizzoli, at the Teatrino Civico in Chivasso. The meeting is moderated by deputy mayor Pasquale Centin. The volume retraces eighty years of Italian history, from the battles for suffrage and the 1946 vote to the present day, reconstructing the biographies of often forgotten protagonists and closing with an open question on the current state of equality and on the quality of democratic participation. The event is promoted by the Comune di Chivasso and opens with the institutional greetings of the mayor. Free admission.
