Inverso Pinasca dedicates three days to the memory of Paolo Diena, the partisan doctor known as 'the red-haired doctor', who fell at just 24 years old and was awarded the gold medal for military valor. On Friday, October 9, primary school pupils gather at the War Memorial for a moment of reflection. On Saturday, October 10, the Castagna-Diena trail, named after Diena and Mario Castagna, is walked up to Cota Rauta, a symbolic place of the Resistance in Val Chisone. On Sunday, October 11, the official commemoration takes place in Piazza della Libertà, with the Unione Musicale di Inverso Pinasca, the mayor's greeting, and the official speech.
