Villa Giulia in Verbania hosts the exhibition 'Alessandro Mendini. Cose. Stanze come mondi', dedicated to one of the most important contemporary designers and artists. The exhibition, opened on May 16, 2026, will remain open to the public until September 27, 2026. The exhibition is organized by the Municipality of Verbania with the sponsorship contribution of Raffineria Metalli Cusiana S.p.A. and represents an important opportunity to discover Mendini's creative world through installations and works that transform spaces into dreamlike environments.
COUNTRY + LINE DANCE

A series of evenings dedicated to country western dancing takes place in Verbania, in the Intra district. The events are scheduled for June 18, July 19, August 23, and September 10, 2026. The evenings alternate between two locations: Largo Don Mariani and the Lungolago. The atmosphere is that of traditional country line dancing, open to all enthusiasts and to anyone who wants to try dancing.
Exhibition 'Astrale' by Michelangelo Galliani

La Specola in Verbania Pallanza, once an astronomical observatory, is now a space dedicated to contemporary art. From June 27 to August 30, 2026, it hosts Astrale, the solo exhibition by Michelangelo Galliani. The artist presents a collection of symbolic and iconic works that pay homage to the dual soul of the place, between science and creativity. The exhibition also extends to the garden of the State Archives, where a work dialogues with the architecture and the landscape.

The united parishes of Pallanza, Suna and Cavandone open the doors of five historic churches for a project to enhance the local heritage. Every Saturday and Sunday, from July to September, residents and tourists can enter for free buildings that are usually closed or not easily accessible, discovering frescoes, sacred furnishings and architectures that tell centuries of faith and art. The visits are free, but it is possible to book a guide to deepen the history and details of the works. The initiative, with free offering, includes San Leonardo, Santo Stefano, Madonna di Campagna, San Remigio and San Fabiano, each with different opening hours.
Concerti Tributo a Suna

Festival 'Allegro con brio'

From July 14 to August 31, 2026, 'Allegro con Brio' returns to Verbania, the multidisciplinary festival now in its 14th edition. Organized by the Civic Library, it enlivens summer evenings with a program mixing live music, theater performances, screenings, and cultural meetings, all free admission with voluntary donation. The 2026 edition opens in mid-July and runs for over six weeks, with a highlight week from August 1 to 9, when the festival focuses on the lake shores. Among the already announced events are the show 'Carrobestiame' and a selection of DVDs. An opportunity to experience the Verbania summer in the spirit of widespread culture, in an informal and open-to-all atmosphere.

The Musica nei Dintorni festival returns to Verbania for summer 2026 with three free outdoor evenings, organized by Like Music School. On Sunday, August 2, in Piazza F. Parri in Trobaso, the Quinta Dimensione Orchestra and the Associazione Le Radici will perform. On Sunday, August 16, Unchio hosts concerts in various locations around the village by the school's teachers and students. On Sunday, August 30, at the Associazione Sportiva di Unchio, the Music Festival presents the pop-lounge-jazz concert of the Like Music Quartet, followed by the Festival Band.

On the lakeside of Pallanza, in the water mirror in front of Piazza Garibaldi, the appreciated show of the luminous dancing fountains continues. The event, which has already been a great success with the public, has been extended until September 13, 2026. A floating installation with water jets, lights and music enlivens the summer evenings of Verbania, offering a suggestive spectacle to citizens and tourists. Every evening, from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM, five dancing shows are scheduled, while in the afternoon (5:00 PM-7:00 PM) the fountains are active with only water jets.
35. Ucraina. Una memoria che continua

On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence, the ArtLab space in Verbania hosts a group exhibition of contemporary Ukrainian art. Thirty-five works, created by Ukrainian artists, form an exhibition path that intertwines memory and current events, one work for each year of independence. The opening takes place on August 24, 2026 at 6:00 PM, the day of Independence Day. The exhibition remains open until September 30, visitable during the indicated hours and with guided tours by appointment.

Cavandone, a small village on the heights of Verbania, hosts the 34th edition of "Il Paese dei Narratori". For three days, the alleys and small squares become a widespread stage where words meet theater, music, and puppet theater. The 2026 edition pays homage to Vanni Oliva ten years after his passing. On Sunday, August 30, from 10:00 AM, the morning includes the presentation of "La moglie del volontario d'Africa" with Silva Cristofari, selected passages from "Il violino del Pasubio" performed by Raffaella Gambuzzi, and the reading of "Quelle scarpe troppo nuove" again with Silva Cristofari. The program mixes staged readings, live performances, and meetings with authors and artists, designed to engage adults and children in an intimate atmosphere. Every corner of the village can turn into a space for listening and discovery.

LetterAltura celebrates its twentieth edition with a program intertwining literature, mountains and adventure. The preview takes place from August 30 to September 1 at Alpe Colle, SS. Trinità di Ghiffa and Trobaso, with meetings and walks. The main festival enlivens Verbania from September 2 to 6. The opening is at Parco Besozzi Benioli in Verbania Intra (in case of rain at the Auditorium of Hotel Il Chiostro). The following days offer round tables, readings and literary walks with writers, journalists and mountaineers. Two exhibitions are also scheduled: "Venti d'avventura" and "Verso il silenzio".

Torna a Verbania il Foto Festival, giunto alla sua seconda edizione, organizzato dall'Associazione Culturale Amalago E.T.S. con il patrocinio e il contributo del Comune. Sabato 12 settembre 2026, dalle 9:00 alle 12:00, si svolgerà l'11° Campionato di Nuoto in Acque Libere dei Vigili del Fuoco, con partenza e arrivo fronte Piazza Garibaldi a Pallanza, Verbania. Il percorso si snoda passando internamente all'Isolino di San Giovanni fino alla punta dell'Eden, e rientro con passaggio esterno dall'Isolino. Durante la gara la navigazione pubblica e privata sarà interdetta nello specchio acqueo interessato.

La Polizia Locale partecipa con un percorso di educazione stradale interattivo, dove i bambini potranno cimentarsi con kart a pedali, segnaletica e un semaforo funzionante, imparando le regole della strada in modo divertente e sicuro.
